Tea Cosies

I started making these at the request of one of my neighbouring stall holders as she was having trouble keeping up with demand.

She always seemed to think that decorations made the tea cosy more desirable.

Then she gave me a pattern for a tea cosy in tricot (tunisian crochet). I modified it a bit to suit the yarn I was using and added the butterfly (which you can almost see in this photo), which is done in the purl stitch.

She also gave me the pattern for the van dyke above.

The others were made using stitches that I found in a book I had and from newsletters from Lion Brand.

I never seemed to sell as many as my neighbour though. Hers just seemed so much more popular.
